Knitted bags

One of my most popular knitted items are these bags/purses I make using two strands of yarn–the colors come out in random patterns that look pretty cool, I think.  I use a small needle so that the stitching is really tight and the fabric ends up being very thick and sturdy.  I use a woven cotton fabric in a coordinating color to line the bags.  Each bag has a small pocket for keys or phone.

I made my own bag (the black and red one below) in 2009 and it’s still in great shape!  I use acrylic yarn, as it will seemingly last forever and hold up well to wear and heavy use.

These bags take a while to make, so I have a limited supply on hand.  Most of what you see below are ones I’ve made in the past, just so you can see examples, but I’ve got a few for sale!  If you see a color combo you like, you can contact me to request a bag or suggest another color combo you’d like as a bag.
